I love my babies

Hello everyone! Gonna blog about my hamsters, so i guess you'll have to be an animal lover to appreciate this post? heh. moving on~ 

Reason for this post? MY HAMMIES HAD JUST TURNED ONE YEAR OLD :D 

well, its a big deal for me maybe cuz i love them too much! 

I've got 2 hammies which i got from daddy's friend last year when his hamster gave birth. at that time i really didnt know if i wanted to keep hamsters again. Not cuz my previous hammie died, but the responsibility. honestly my experience with my previous hamster wasn't that great which is why i guess it led to its death. so anyway my dad managed to persuade me to keep them since they were babies at that time and it would be easier to tame them and all. 

In case you haven't seen it before, a picture of when they just came :

They were just super small!!! :) omg they always get me excited, even up till now ._. i'm sucha kid.

I can differentiate them easily now cuz they have different personalities. they both eat alot and they're fat. i think putting them in a tank makes them even fatter. usually people prolly would just keep their hammies in cages with all sort of tubes but i dont like i when they hide inside those tubes! so selfish me got my dad to buy me a tank to keep my hammies >:) easy access in and out! imagine your hand in a cage restricted to those pathetic small doors. super irritating. especially when your hamster starts digging and the bedding falls all over outside the cage. That's extra cleaning! 

I dont exactly have names for my hammies, ( I SUCK AT NAMING ANIMALS ) but i'm very used to calling one 'fat' and the other 'the naughty one' LMAO. ok enough talking, some pictures!

They're super fat and human friendly now :) they used to nibble on my palms alot when i attempt to carry them. but i guess they just needed time~ the fat one got tame really quickly compared to my naughty one, haha! ok calling them fat and naughty is just plain retard. i got really irritated with my naughty hammie to the point when i attempted to use gloves. total epic fail la can -.- still kept biting me! well, i'm just happy now that they're so tame! you can't really tell the diff between the two of them in the pictures, they both look fat!

Looks like i'm strangling them, but they're sitting quite comfortably in my hands 

I've gotten them used to lying on their backs on my hands, which explains the amount of pictures on their backs :) fat doesnt really like to be carried about, since i dropped it thrice(?) or so, so it grips super firmly to my hands whenever i pick it up. it doesnt like to walk on my hands too cuz it tumbled and fell before :x the other just likes to wonder about on my hands and up my arms, LOL.

I used to buy other treats for them like veggie sticks and strawberry crackers ( SMELL SUPER HEAVENLY I ALMOST WANTED TO TRY IT ) but then i figured that they're always waiting for those treats instead of eating their normal hammie food. sweet stuff wont do any good for their diet too anyways!

oh, i love to take pictures of them in their funny positions when they sleep! i always tickle their bellies but they just continue to sleep! they only wake up when they smell the food in my hands!

I actually wanted to do this post earlier after my exams, but i got carried away cuz fat was sick :( it kept rubbing its eyes until the fur around the eye fell off and it was bleeding slightly. it was quite red too! i got medicine for it. to my surprise, fat didnt bite off my hand when i applied the eye drops for him. it just sat there, without any noise but moved its head once in a while. i sorta expected a screaming hamster biting my hands when i applied the medicine. So that was a good thing anyways. i would need to visit a vet or whatever. i bet it would be damn expensive!!

my finger was only there to stop naughty from stealing fat's food. they're both super greedy and wont share at all. it ends up in playful fights.

i still remember jeanne telling me that i'll prolly get sick of them and find it a chore to keep them, but nah, i love my babies alot! i'm not really an animal person, but for some reason seeing the boys ( o yeah they're both males ) just makes me excited.
